VA Clinic in Dunkirk Moves to a New LocationVeterans in Dunkirk and surrounding areas can get their health care at a new VA clinic located at 166 East Fourth Street beginning Monday, April 2, 2007. The clinic is under a new contract with Valor Health Care and will be dedicated to exclusively serving veterans at this location. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. with free parking in front of the building. Providers working in the Dunkirk VA Clinic, Dr. Nabil Jamal, MD and Cynthia Carlson, NP are board certified. The clinic offers on-site digital x-ray and laboratory services. Medications prescribed by VA providers will be mailed directly to veteran's homes. All previously scheduled appointments will be honored at the new site. Veterans and returning troops with any questions about VA health care or their appointment may call 1-800-310-5001. Veterans that may have any specific medical questions can call the clinic at 203-6474. "We are pleased to offer veterans in Dunkirk high quality VA home town health care at this new location. It's been an honor to serve veterans in Chautauqua county for almost 10 years and look forward to being a provider of choice for many more years to come," said Michael S. Finegan, VA WNY Healthcare System Medical Center Director. Last year VA Western New York Healthcare System provided care to more than 40,000 veterans at medical centers in Buffalo and Batavia as well as community-based outpatient clinics in Niagara Falls, Lockport, Lackawanna, Dunkirk, Jamestown, Olean, and Warsaw.
