ALN Medical Management (ALN), headquartered in Denver, Colorado, announces the acquisition of Specialty Billing Services (SBS) of Norman, Oklahoma
(September 19, 2005) SBS has provided complete medical billing and accounts receivable management to physicians across Oklahoma for over 15 years. Janet Tremaine, previously the owner of Specialty Billing Services, will join the ALN executive team as the President of ALN’s Oklahoma region.
“What attracted us to SBS was the quality of their work, the results they produce for their physician clients, and their commitment to ethical business practices,†said Tim Coan, CEO of ALN Medical Management. “The SBS clients are all very pleased with the service that has been provided to them and under Janet’s continuing leadership, we will continue to provide these results.â€
“While we have been successful over the years serving our clients,†stated Ms. Tremaine, “we needed to find a way to address the increasing technological requirements of the physician revenue cycle business. In ALN, we found a partner who shares our commitment to servicing physicians, but also has the information technology solutions and capabilities necessary to help our clients in the future.â€
“In addition to SBS specifically, we like the Oklahoma market in general and are committed to growing our presence there,†said Mr. Coan. Ms. Tremaine will oversee all aspects of the Oklahoma market. ‘â€SBS has long been a preferred vendor of the Oklahoma State Medical Society. Now, we will be able to bring many new tools to the physicians in this state,†reported Ms. Tremaine. “ALN operates on GE’s Centricity Physician Office, both for practice management and the electronic medical record system. In fact, they are GE’s largest customer, so they know these products exceptionally well. Additionally, they have integrated other technologies that allow us to give our physicians a very powerful technology platform for the future.â€
ALN is a national physician outsourcing company, providing revenue cycle management and information technology services to over 350 physicians in more than 15 states. “The key to how we bring value to our clients is to balance size and scale, which allows us to provide leading edge technology to private practice physicians, with a strong commitment to local relationships and the local nature of this business,†said Mr. Coan. “The addition of SBS works for us because of the ongoing role of Janet and her team. Our Oklahoma clients can know that while we are providing new resources and capabilities, the deep knowledge and personal attention that they have come to expect from SBS will continue.â€
