Xiameter Upgrades Web to HAHT 7.1

MIDLAND, Michigan (May 04, 2003) - Xiameter, the web-enabled business unit from Dow Corning, has implemented a series of website upgrades for empowered users of www.xiameter.com. They provide Xiameter’s users with new functions such as the ability to search for and receive individual product application guides. (5/4/2003)

The upgrades also include upgrades to current site functions, offering customers greater flexibility in product, order, delivery, and account tracking.

“At Xiameter, we make every effort to ensure that customers have easy and rapid access to information around the clock,” said Xiameter Executive Director, Michael Lanham. “These upgrades are the result of customer feedback. We regularly survey customers to ensure we can understand and meet their needs. Our goal is to provide customers with easy-to-use, effective tools to purchase high quality silicones at prices they need to stay competitive.”

Xiameter’s latest additions to the website are made possible by an upgrade to the current order entry software powered by HAHT Commerce. Upgrading to HAHT 7.1 allows Xiameter to offer the tools and functionality that customers have been asking for. And, the greater efficiencies created through the upgrade reduce costs to customers, which Xiameter returns in the form of lowest-base pricing.

The upgrades include:

  •     Improved “My Accounts” function
  •     Advanced product catalog functions
  •     Updated and renamed order and delivery status functions
  •     Enhanced account status features
  •     Single-view order history page
