InPhonic to Deliver Wireless E-Commerce and ‘Direct-to-You’ Delivery Solutions to National Retail Chains
Fort Worth, Texas and Washington, D.C. – September 26, 2005 – RadioShack Corporation’s (NYSE: RSH) Retail Services and InPhonic, Inc., (NASDAQ: INPC) today announced a further extension of their existing relationship whereby the consumer electronics specialty retailer and InPhonic will now offer a private-labeled online wireless services storefront for the sale and activation of wireless devices to RadioShack’s Retail Services clients.
Today, RadioShack is regarded as the leading retailer of wireless handsets and services in the United States. InPhonic, a leading online wireless retailer, distributes wireless devices from the World’s leading handset manufacturers and service plans for all of the major wireless carriers. InPhonic will operate and manage online wireless storefronts to compliment and support the retail solutions provided by RadioShack’s Retail Services to its client base. The program, which launched last week, will also offer retail clients and their customers an innovative “Direct-to-You” delivery program designed to offer greater selection and choice for the customer in the retail environment by using InPhonic’s online wireless sales solution as a virtual inventory. Customers will be able to select and order a device and service plan direct from a sales representative using the online platform. The device can then be delivered to their home or business the following day.
SAM’S CLUB, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., has made the solution available on the www.samsclub.com website.
