CRMfusion Inc. and StrikeIron, Inc. Partner to Deliver Real Time, Web Services based Data Verification Tools to Salesforce.com Users

Solution eliminates need for cumbersome database manipulation, reduces errors and improves productivity

Toronto, ON and Research Triangle Park, NC – August 23, 2005 – CRMfusion, Inc., the developers of DemandTools, the leading salesforce.com administrative data quality toolset, and StrikeIron, Inc., developer of the innovative StrikeIron Web Services Business Networkä (WSBizNetä) that simplifies working with Web services, today announced a strategic partnership focused on providing real-time customer data verification and enhancement capabilities to the salesforce.com marketplace.

CRMfusion has developed the first of a new series of unique modules as part of their DemandTools suite that provides for real-time integration of salesforce.com customer data with the StrikeIron US, Canadian and Global Address Verification Web services.

"The problem with data verification and enhancements in hosted environments like salesforce.com is that it is very hard to export the information and re-import to salesforce.com while maintaining full database integrity and not creating duplicates,” said Glenn Wilson, President, CRMfusion Inc.  “CRMfusion has seen numerous clients spend more money on the data import/export side of their data project than they did on the actual data they purchased. We have eliminated this entire cost and headache with our new StrikeIron integrated DemandTools modules."

Built on the powerful DemandTools platform and the Sforce API from salesforce.com, the new StrikeIron access and integration modules will allow for real-time transfer of the Web services data into salesforce.com.  With the first new CRMfusion module, salesforce.com users can now seamlessly access international address and enhancement data services without the need to export and re-import their salesforce.com records. This solution eliminates the additional expense and time of cumbersome database manipulation, reduces errors and improves productivity for salesforce.com users.

An example of these savings were realized during a recent test in which CRMfusion showed an example of a beta customer verifying 2,000 leads live from their salesforce.com lead queues. The entire process from start to finish took less than 5 minutes and the addresses were not only verified but also enhanced including the addition of 9 digit zip codes and full CASS certification.  With fees starting at about 4 cents per verification and falling to less than 1 cent in volume this entire 2,000 lead upgrade demonstrated by CRMfusion would only cost a average user of the service approximately $35.

"This is an excellent example of how value can be added to current applications utilizing StrikeIron Web Services”, said  Bob Brauer, President of StrikeIron.  “This is one of the best integrations available in the market of Web services enabled data access with a CRM system and we look forward to working with CRMfusion to provide additional modules utilizing StrikeIron Web services for salesforce.com users.”

CRMfusion has announced that the StrikeIron integration modules will be available in late September 2005 and the company will be featuring them at the salesforce.com Dreamforce conference in San Francisco, Sept 11-14th 2005. The StrikeIron modules will be included at no extra cost (other than the Web services transactional fees through StrikeIron) in all versions of DemandTools and will also be available at no charge to any salesforce.com user wanting to utilize StrikeIron services.
