InPhonic Continues to Amass Industry-leading Clients

CNET and eCost Select InPhonic for their New Wireless Shopping and Content Services

Washington, D.C. – January 27, 2005 – InPhonic, Inc. (NASDAQ: INPC), a leading online retailer of wireless phones and service plans, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with CNET (www.cnet.com), the trusted, unbiased resource for people interested in enhancing their life with personal technology, and a separate agreement with eCost (www.ecost.com), a subsidiary of PC Mall, Inc. and a leading multi-category, online retailer to promote and provide access to its wireless products, content and services through their new online wireless stores.

For CNET and eCost, the InPhonic-powered online wireless store and comparison shopping services will provide customers with a secure e-commerce platform that helps them find the calling plans and wireless phones that best solve their particular usage needs, and allows them to purchase their selected phone packages with a click of their mouse or keyboard. The CNET wireless site will also include comparison shopping tools that allow current mobile phone users to analyze their existing plans using a simple, step-by-step process, and makes it simple for customers to review alternative plans with different monthly rates and/or better features. For eCost, the new online wireless store bolsters its broad multi-category product offering, and adds a key and long-awaited product category. In addition to InPhonic’s broad selection of wireless devices and cellular accessories, eCOST will now be able to offer its customers access to wireless service plans from America’s leading wireless carriers through InPhonic’s e-commerce platform. Collectively, InPhonic’s wireless carrier partners service over 99% of America’s population.

“InPhonic opens the year with increasing market momentum signing these large online distribution deals,” said David A. Steinberg, Chairman and CEO, InPhonic. “Our ability to add industry-leading clients reflects our reputation and strength in the marketplace, and the value of the InPhonic e-commerce platform.”
