StrikeIron Expands WSBizNet with Five Financial Management Web Services

On-Demand access to the most up-to-date financial information for companies and the economy

Research Triangle Park, NC – November 16, 2004 -- StrikeIron™ Inc., developer of the innovative StrikeIron Web Services Business Networkä (WSBizNetä), to simplify working with Web services, today announced the availability of five additional Financial Management Web services to its expanding network of premium Web services. In a separate release today, StrikeIron also announced the beta release of its OnDemand Web Services for Excel.

The five Web services are available on-demand as a “pay-per-use” subscription and include: StrikeIron Econometric Statistics, StrikeIron EDGAR, StrikeIron Historical Stock Quotes, StrikeIron Insider Trading, and StrikeIron Real-Time Stock Quotes Basic. These Premium Web Services are available through WSBizNet and complement the previously announced StrikeIron D&B Business Information and StrikeIron Zacks Investment Research Premium Web Services.

These services provide access to interactive real-time information for building on-demand applications. Developers and business users are able to take advantage of an easier and more cost-effective option for accessing and integrating real-time financial market data into Web sites, financial applications and any business applications to improve their real-time business decision making.

With today’s launch of the StrikeIron OnDemand Web Services for Microsoftâ Excelâ beta, users will be able to integrate these Financial Web services directly into an Excel spreadsheet without any programming knowledge. By working with a familiar spreadsheet environment, OnDemand Web Services for Excel uses Web services to let you connect to real-time data and processes; a process that previously would have been extremely costly and require time consuming importing, exporting and formatting with each update.

“The combination of StrikeIron’s Financial Management Premium Web Services along with the StrikeIron OnDemand Web Services for Excel is a breakthrough that will enable the next step in the evolution of Web services utilization,” said Richard Holcomb, Chairman and CEO of StrikeIron.  “Now a much broader audience of business users can take advantage of Web services to build on-demand financial applications.”
