International Growth, Strong Renewals Drive Gomez Q3 Success

Gomez reports twelfth consecutive quarter of growth and record subscription bookings, reflecting accelerating momentum in North America and Europe

WALTHAM, MASS., NOVEMBER 9, 2004 -- Gomez®, Inc. the Internet Performance Management Company, today announced record bookings for the third quarter ended September 30, the company's twelfth consecutive growth period.

Consolidated third-quarter bookings rose 30% compared with the same period last year. Contract renewals remained strong at 89%.

The company experienced especially strong growth in Europe, where bookings grew 63% in the quarter compared with the like period in 2003. New accounts grew 450%, which represented a record number of European customers added during the quarter.

"Despite the continued technological advancement of automated application monitoring tools, many companies are still struggling to understand how to convert the collected metrics into actionable information," said Cameron Haight, Research Vice President, Gartner, Inc. "IT organizations need to consider approaches that focus on the processes that leverage and the organizational roles that consume this information to enable improved IT support of mission critical applications."

Gomez Internet Performance Management services help enterprises build processes for more efficiently managing critical Internet applications. "Companies across the globe are beginning to realize the correlation between superior Internet applications performance and profitability," said Gomez Chief Operating Officer Bruce Reading. "Our outside the firewall monitoring products and services are helping our customers to more effectively reach their performance objectives so that they can reduce their operational costs and improve revenue."

Q3 highlights include:

ProactiveNet partnership announced. Unveiled at the recent Thomson Media Financial Technology Forum in Phoenix, this integration enables companies to more efficiently determine the root cause of performance-impacting events and reduce the mean time to repair. E*Trade Financial was announced as the first company in the financial services industry to use the jointly developed service.

Gómez Performance Network is upgraded. Strengthening an already unique ability to deliver actionable application performance insights, Gomez recently enhanced the GPN's diagnostic depth and speed with which reports can be generated. The GPN's enhanced test agent collects more granular data for deeper analysis; users can now create and implement tests and gain end-user views of an application within minutes.
"More and more companies across the globe are relying on Gómez products and services to instill the operational discipline needed to keep their critical Internet applications fast, highly available and supportive of business objectives," Gomez's Reading noted. "By developing repeatable and scalable processes for more efficiently managing Internet service delivery, our customers are spending less time reacting to Internet delivery problems and more time creating differentiating services that drive business success."
