Gómez Senior Management Team Strengthened With Strategic Sales Hire

Vice President of North American Sales Rich Geremia brings nearly 20 years of IT industry experience to reinforce customer alignment, further accelerate growth

WALTHAM, MASS., AUGUST 3, 2004 -- Gómez ®Inc., the Internet Performance Management Company, today announced the hiring of high-tech sales veteran Richard Geremia as Vice President, North American Sales.

Mr. Geremia joins the company amid an impressive growth run of 11 consecutive quarters, strong market validation of its Internet Performance Management (IPM) solutions and continued investment in its global infrastructure. Gómez bookings grew 70% in the recently completed second quarter compared with the year-earlier period, while contract renewals remained strong at 93%.

The hiring of Mr. Geremia follows the recent promotion of Bruce Reading to the new position of Chief Operating Officer and key hires in Gómez's North American and European sales organizations. Mr. Reading has instituted business process and service delivery discipline that is helping customers use Gómez IPM solutions to increase profitability and reduce the risks associated with the delivery of their mission-critical Internet applications. Gómez accomplishes this by providing actionable insights and process improvement techniques that enable companies to achieve and maintain peak Internet performance.

Bringing nearly 20 years of Internet/telecommunications sales experience, Mr. Geremia was previously Vice President of Sales and Marketing at StructuredWeb, a provider of sales and marketing application services. While there, Mr. Geremia led a sales team that delivered nine consecutive quarters of revenue growth and expanded the company's customer base to 1,900 clients in just two years.

Prior to StructuredWeb, Mr. Geremia was Eastern Regional Sales Director at Critical Path, among the world's largest providers of Web-based messaging and collaboration solutions and a Regional Vice President at Dictaphone Corp., a global provider of dictation and transcription equipment.
