Simplifies On-Demand Access to Improve Compliance and Productivity

Research Triangle Park, NC – September 13, 2004 -- StrikeIron™, Inc., a pioneer of online services and software to simplify working with Web services, today announced the availability of its StrikeIron Do Not Call Premium Web Service available through the StrikeIron Web Services Business Network™ (WSBizNet™).

The Do Not Call Premium Web Service is available on a real-time, on-demand basis with a “pay-per-use” subscription. This latest service provides customers with a more effective, lower cost and lower risk option to ensure compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) National Do Not Call list regulations and similar Do Not Call regulations that currently exist in thirty-seven states.

This Premium Web Service is ideal for avoiding costly fines for not complying with Do Not Call regulations and improving the productivity of telemarketing, customer relationship marketing and sales professionals by eliminating unnecessary calls in real-time.  It can easily be integrated into Web sites, enterprise portals, customer relationship applications, call center applications and other software applications for interactive, real-time usage thereby eliminating costly database management, integration, and synchronization efforts.

“With the increased focus by the FTC, the Do Not Call Premium Web Service is a critical enabler for firms to ensure compliance and avoid potential fines of up to $11,000 per call,” said Richard Holcomb, Chairman and CEO of StrikeIron.  “Furthermore, as a Premium Web Service available through the StrikeIron Web Services Business Network, customers can be assured of the Web service’s reliability, performance, and security.”

The Do Not Call Premium Web Service instantly lets users check telephone numbers against Federal, State, and Direct Marketing Association databases via a programmatic interface. This includes maintaining an organization’s internal Do Not Call list, as well as an internal permission-based Extended Business Relationship database. The confirmation data references these databases and is delivered live via an XML-based Web service directly into any application, platform, product or Web site.

The Do Not Call Premium Web Service is only one of many Premium Web Services included as part of over 800 Web services available through the StrikeIron Web Services Business Network.  Examples of additional Premium Web Services include Tax Data Systems Sales and Use Tax Rates, Mobile SMS Messaging, and Address Verification.
