Foresight increases transaction processing speeds 4X

Innovations Significantly Improve Large Batch Processing: Higher Speed & NCPDP Support

Columbus, OH, March 9, 2004 – Foresight Corporation, the leading provider of advanced business solutions for healthcare, announces major enhancements to their InStream™ application that have increased processing speeds up to four times that of comparable systems. Increased speeds narrow the processing windows for large HIPAA batches, providing a major advantage to large payers and clearinghouse users with high-volume processing needs. Additionally, this version offers support for NCPDP 1.1 batch and 5.1 online for pharmaceutical electronic transmissions. NCPDP validation provides a consistent approach for InStream users that process both HIPAA and NCPDP formats.

"As we continue to expand our products to offer the widest range of innovative business solutions for healthcare, we are constantly striving to provide the most advanced systems available," said Ed Hafner, CTO with Foresight. "Improved processing speeds, coupled with consistent validation, are enhancements that present invaluable advantages for our large volume users."

Widely deployed within many translator and production environments, Foresight products operate with high performance speeds in both batch and online structures utilizing multi-threading and multi-processing. The Foresight InStream™ technology affords a number of native API/command-line integration options that provide a best fit for UNIX and Windows processing systems.

"The Foresight Corporation and their InStream technology were key in ensuring our compliance with the HIPAA regulations by the October 2003 deadline," said Alvin Lin, business analyst with LifeCare Assurance Company. "The level of support from Foresight is outstanding."
