Unitive, Incorporated Among
Early Qualifiers for New ISO Standards

RTP Company Completes Process
Four Months Ahead of Deadline.

Research Triangle Park, NC. August 17, 2003 — With over four months remaining until a December 14 deadline, Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) recently notified Unitive, Incorporated that the company had successfully transitioned to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard.

In its August 2003 issue, Quality Digest reported that just 53% of the companies replying to a survey had qualified for ISO 9001:2000.

“This puts Unitive in very elite company,” Randy Daugharthy, President of BVQI, said in announcing the designation. “By meeting this new standard so early, they’ve proven their dedication to the development of processes that deliver product of maximum quality to their customers. We’re happy to be working with them.”

Ken Donahue, Unitive CEO, called the designation “a tribute to the team spirit we have here at Unitive. The ISO standard involves virtually everyone at our company, and everyone pitched in with contributions to make it happen.”

“Our first ISO certification was a milestone in 2000,” said Regina Williams, Quality Manager for Unitive. “Now we’ve reached a second milestone with this certification. Everyone at Unitive worked together to get the job done."

BVQI partners with over 30,000 companies around the world, assisting in the continuous improvement of their quality management systems through the ISO registration process.

Unitive employs some 90 people in two locations in the Research Triangle Park area, producing semiconductor packaging and other technologies for leading companies around the world.
