StrikeIron Hopes Its New Web Services Product Gets Hot

Pioneering Product Makes Using Web Services Fast and Easy
Free Evaluation Version is Now Available

Research Triangle Park, NC – September 17, 2003 - StrikeIron, Inc., a visionary leader in Web services software, today announced the release and availability of its premier product, the StrikeIron Web Services Analyzer.

The StrikeIron Web Services Analyzer provides a powerful solution for discovering, invoking and understanding any Web service. With the Analyzer, the data structures, data requirements, behavior and results of a Web service can be determined with minimal effort and time.

In the past, software developers, website builders and business analysts spent hours locating Web services, reviewing complex XML documents and writing code in order to understand a Web service's behavior. Today the Analyzer becomes the first product to solve these problems and to make it easy to quickly take advantage of the rapidly increasing number of Web services available in the world.

“StrikeIron's innovative approach to invoking and analyzing Web services will encourage more companies to adopt Web services and Service-Oriented Architectures,” said Jason Bloomberg, Senior Analyst of ZapThink LLC. “ The market for Web services is expanding quickly, and StrikeIron's Web Services Analyzer helps companies take the initial step to implementing Web services in their organizations.”

The Analyzer is the first in a series of products based on StrikeIron's ground-breaking Web Services Business Object™ (WSBO) technology. WSBO allows users to combine multiple Web services with added business rules and logic that can then be integrated into common business applications like Microsoft ® Office, SAP and PeopleSoft.

“The Analyzer is an amazingly versatile product. Customers as diverse as sophisticated software developers, Web site builders and casual application users, are all dramatically improving their productivity and reducing their development costs,” said Richard Holcomb, CEO of StrikeIron.

One company that is creatively using the Analyzer is Ultimus ® , an award-winning provider of business process management and workflow software.

“Not only has Ultimus found the Web Services Analyzer to be extremely valuable for examining and discovering new Web services, but we recommend it to our customers who are building Ultimus Business Process applications with Web services,” said Grant Kitching, Senior Product Manager of Ultimus. “Our technical support team is often asked to solve problems relating to a Web service. When customers use the Analyzer to test and analyze a Web service before using it, the burden on our support team is greatly reduced.”
