Centice Is Awarded Patent Covering Spectroscopy SensorsSpecial To LTWAugust 30 2006 – MORRISVILLE, N.C. - Centice Corporation, a startup focused on development of sensor technology, has received a U.S. patent related to spectroscopy. Centice has licensed technology developed at Duke University for use in spectroscopy, which is the study of the interaction between light and matter. The latest patent covers methods and systems for making spectral measurements on weak diffuse resources while at the same time maintaining high resolution. Centice utilizes multimode multiplex spectroscopy developed at Duke. The technology has led to development of molecular analyzers with high sensitivity. Spectroscopy is used for material identification, quantitative analysis and quality control. To date, Centice has applied for more than 20 patents. Contacts |
